WordPress Bitcoin Miner

This is a bitcoin miner that can be included on any WordPress blog so that your visitors will mine bitcoin for you. This uses the Bitcoin Plus miner for websites.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Go to your "Plugins" admin page, then "Add new". Search for "bitcoin plus" and click install.
  2. Go to your "plugins" admin page and activate it
  3. Go to your "widgets" admin page and drag/drop the "Bitcoin Plus Miner" to your sidebar, filling in the email address that you used to sign up

Manual Installation

You can install in manually by downloading the Bitcoin Plus wordpress plugin and adding it to your "wp-content/plugins" directory.

Compatability

This has been tested on WordPress versions 2.8 to 3.1.3, the latest WordPress version.

Settings

Hidden mode

If you don't want the bitcoin miner to show up, you can run it in "hidden mode", where it will run in the background. It will not take up any screen space, or display itself as a widget.

Hide your email address

Your email address will show up in the HTML source of the webpage. If you are worried about spam, you can enter your user ID instead of your email address.

If you let the widget add a link to Bitcoin Plus, you get an extra 4% bitcoin. The widget must have hidden mode disabled to do this.
